Hello! My name is Lemisse Abdelbaqui and I am so excited to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher this year! This will be my first year as a classroom teacher and I am so honored to join the community here at Carpenter Elementary. 

I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s in elementary education in 2023 and completed my student teaching at Smith Elementary in PCCS. Previously, I was an assistant teacher at Children’s Garden Montessori for 2 years. I am incredibly passionate about teaching and look forward to getting to know all of my students throughout the upcoming school year! 

In my spare time I love reading, writing, art, and crocheting! I also love watching documentaries, spending time with friends and family, and doing crossword puzzles. I’m looking forward to a wonderful 2024-25 school year!
