I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and moved to Ann Arbor in 2001 to attend the University of Michigan. I began my teaching career at Pathways (then Stone School) as a student teacher in 2001. I spent 7 years teaching English and improv theater until, in 2008, I moved to open the new comprehensive high school, Skyline. I spent 8 years at the English Content Lead at Skyline, when in 2017, the opportunity to move home to Pathways arose. My current role is an English teacher and building instructional coach.

I enjoy reading (Just Mercy is a MUST READ!) and Michigan football. I also love to laugh, loudly, sometimes at inappropriate times.
